A trophy
erected as a monument, this rock stands
alone in the solitude of the desert and can
be seen by those who come within a few
hundred miles of its site. The mystery of
how it got to where it is has been the topic
of many discussions throughout history. We
gaze at the phenomenon in the sands of time.
Chalice Mountain 2
Parting Sea
A
people wandering, grumbling they’re lost
A
stick is raised, the waves are tossed
The
sea it parts to the left and right hand
The
grumblers go forward thru a sea of dry land
Parting Sea
Hoots-a-lot
Many have
heard the sounds of whistling as the winds
caress the rocks, slipping through and
around them. This particular rock has a
sound all its own. It is as if the wind is
trapped momentarily and is dispersed in a
series of double bursts making a hooting
sound. Folklore has it that there is an owl
trapped within the stone.
